Workshop on
Cross-Infection Control in
Dental Healthcare Settings
October 05, 2022
11:00 AM PKT
Overview
Cross-infection during clinical practice can occur with the transmission of infectious agents between patients and health workers in a clinical environment. Transmission of dental infection can occur through infected air droplets, blood, saliva, and instruments contaminated with secretions.
Standard Precautions are the minimum infection prevention practices that apply to all patient care, regardless of suspected or confirmed infection status of the patient, in any setting where health care is delivered. These practices are designed to both protect DHCP (dental health care personnel) and prevent DHCP from spreading infections among patients. VFAHT has been tirelessly working for the cause. Following our motto “Prevention is better than Cure”, we are trying in our maximum capacity to aware people of the importance of preventative healthcare practices in medical and dental practices.
